1. ‘Okay! Excellent!’ - this expression is used by women in the very end of the argument which means that they’re right and you should shut up.

2. ‘I’ll be quick! Just five minutes.’ - has two meanings. If a woman says that before leaving the house - 5 minutes equals half an hour. And if you’re given 5 minutes to watch the first half of a soccer match before ‘helping with household chores’ 5 minutes equals exactly 5 minutes.

3. ‘Nothing happened’ - That’s the calm before the storm. This ‘nothing’ surely means something, so be on guard. Quarrels starting with ‘nothing’ usually end up with ‘Excellent!’ (see 1)

4. ‘Okay, go on..’ - that’s a challenge, not a permission. DO NOT go on.

5. Loud sigh - this nonverbal expression is frequently misunderstood by men. The sigh means that she is taking you for a complete moron and doesn’t understand why is she still arguing with you about nothing.(see 3)

6. ‘All is fine’ - one of the most dangerous expression a man can hear. It means that a lady taked the time-out to think about when and how will you pay off for your mistake.

7. ‘Thanks’ - if a woman thanks you - don’t ask what for. Just reply with ‘Not at all’ if you hear ‘Thanks a lot’ (with the stress on a lot), you should notice the slim sarcasm in her voice and do not reply with ‘Not at all’. If you do - you’ll get ‘Doesn’t matter’ (see further)

8. ‘Doesn’t matter’ - that’s a polite lady’s way to send you far and for a long time.

9. ‘Don’t worry, I’ll do it myself’ - another threatening expression, frequently used when a lady asked a man to do something (carry out the garbage, pick the socks, lying on the floor), found out he didn’t even leave his armchair and started to do it herself. Later it will lead to a silly man’s question ‘What’s wrong?’ and a woman’s answer #3

   Once I took her cellphone to see what time is it - she got mad and forbid me to touch it anymore. I didn’t talk about my suspicions with her. I think I’d never find out the truth but yesterday night she suddenly went off somewhere, I’ve got interested and followed her. I hid beside my car to see what car she’ll get in - all the street was in my view.

   I’ve sat beside my car and suddenly noticed that brake-discs on the forward wheel have some rust-like spots. Please tell me, is it okay to ride with such discs or should I change them? Maybe it’s because of brake-shoes, I’ve bought them at the market, maybe they are Chinese fakes. :-/ Maybe I should just change the brake-shoes. Hope for your help in this difficult question for me.’

Kina Grannis ‘Valentine’ (cover)

    So, there was I, managing my daily routines, catching up with the news, browsing the group. Of course nobody did anything in my absence. But that’s not what the post is about.

    I’ve been browsing the group and found a small jewel - a cover of Kina Grannis’s song ‘Valentine’ performed by our (!) school band(!). By our I mean Russian. I do remember our own school parties - that was long ago and they were really outdated, nothing contemporary. So, I’m officially pleasantly surprised by our schoolboys/girls.

  So, I contacted the girls who performed the cover and they gave me a permission to share it. Glad that there are people except me who heard about Kina Grannis here. Though the activity in our fan groups is very low, I must admit ):
